Munich Re has appointed Mr Christian Kraut as Head of Munich Re, Tokyo, and Ms Iris Urban who is now Representative Director and Regional Manager of Munich Re’s Non-Life operation in Tokyo, as Head of Section Property Treaty for the markets Germany and Africa at the Head Office in Munich. Both appointments are effective from 1 January 2015.
Mr Kraut has more than 25 years’ experience in the reinsurance industry, and his immediate previous role was as Client Executive and Senior Executive in Munich Re’s MENA Department.
In India, Mr Hitesh Kotak has joined Munich Re since May 2014 as Chief Representative Officer (Designate) for India and Indian Sub-continent. He is responsible for Property & Casualty lines of business for this region.
Munich Re has also appointed Mr Frank Crapis as Head of Client Solutions, Australia and New Zealand. Mr Crapis leads a Business Management team, dedicated to provide life insurance services to the retail, group, direct and Financial Motivated Reinsurance segments in the Australian and New Zealand market.
And in Singapore, Munich Re has appointed Mr Andrew Wong as the CEO Reinsurance, Asia Pacific for Munich Health with effect from August 2014. To be based in Munich Re Singapore Branch office, Mr Wong is responsible for health reinsurance business for the entire Asia Pacific region for Munich Re.
